Crisis-Proof: Why the World’s Rich Are Flocking to the UAE

UAE Remains a Top Destination for High Net-Worth Individuals Despite Regional Tensions The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is expected to continue attracting high net-worth individuals (HNWIs), even amidst the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict. According to international migration consultants and wealth managers, the Emirates remains one of the safest and most attractive destinations for global investors to safeguard their wealth.

UAE: A Magnet in Times of Crisis

Çağatay Köroğlu, CEO of Landmark Titan Realty, a leading immigration and investment consultancy, emphasized the resilience of the UAE in turbulent times.

“I have seen how the UAE always becomes a stronger magnet during times of regional and global crisis due to its robust infrastructure, safety nets, strong rule of law, high quality of life, and lowtax environment,” Köroğlu said. “In any period of regional instability, the UAE stands out as the safest and most strategic hub for wealth and families.”

New Waves of Wealth Migration

Köroğlu highlighted that the UAE has already experienced multiple waves of affluent migration over the past few years. “The Russia-Ukraine war marked a major influx of wealth. Following that, rising taxes in the UK and shifting European political landscapes triggered a second wave of European migration. The third wave came from the U.S., particularly after President Donald Trump was elected, with many Democrats and others relocating to the UAE,” he explained.

“Today, we are seeing individuals of very high profile inquiring about the Golden Visa. The current conflict between Iran and Israel is likely to spark a new wave of migration from neighboring countries, as individuals seek safety and stability for their families and assets,” Köroğlu added.

UAE Passport: A Rising Global Power

Köroğlu also pointed to the rapid rise of the UAE passport in global rankings as a testament to the country’s strategic diplomatic efforts.

“According to Landmark Titan Capital’s 205 Index, the UAE passport is now ranked the strongest in the world. It has surged from position 35 to number 1—a feat unmatched by any other nation,”he noted.

“This growth is the result of visionary leadership and effective execution in securing visa-free agreements with numerous countries, granting Emirati citizens unprecedented global mobility.”

Despite ongoing geopolitical challenges in the Middle East, the UAE continues to position itself as a safe, strategic, and welcoming destination for global wealth. With its stable environment,

investor-friendly policies, and globally respected passport, the Emirates is poised to attract even more high-net-worth individuals in the years to come.
